Internship Opportunities
General Information
All internship candidates must complete the following pre-placement requirements:
- Submit a professional resume, three references and academic pre-placement agreement
- Criminal background check and drug screen
- On-boarding orientation
- A physical and TB test (Early Learning internships only)
For client continuity of care, we require a one-year commitment to serve our families in outpatient services. Day treatment and school settings require a full school-year commitment.
Internship Opportunities
Counseling or Social Work: Early Childhood Day Treatment
- Student must be actively enrolled in a Master’s Degree program
- Candidates are accepted based on Supervisor availability and are selected following an interview process
- Candidates must be strong team players, flexible, enthusiastic, and able to collaborate closely with other providers
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- 20 hour/week internship (Monday, Wednesday, and ½ day Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, and ½ day Friday)
- Activities include: group therapy, individual/family therapy, diagnostic intake assessment, member of a treatment team
- Individual and group supervision provided
- Approximately 12 hours/week spent in face-to-face contact with clients
- Stipend opportunities may be available

Counseling or Social Work: Outpatient
- Student must be actively enrolled in a Master’s Degree program
- Candidates are accepted based on Supervisor availability
- Candidates are selected following an interview process
- 20 hour/week internship (10 hour/week practicum students accepted only if student also commits to 20 hour/week internship)
- Activities include: individual/family therapy, group therapy, diagnostic intake assessment
- Individual and group supervision provided
- Approximately ½ time on site spent in face-to-face contact with clients
- Stipend provided

Counseling or Social Work: Day Treatment/Genesis School
- Student must be actively enrolled in a Master’s Degree program
- Candidates are accepted based on Supervisor availability
- Candidates are selected following an interview process
- 20 hour/week internship
- Activities include: group therapy, individual/family therapy, diagnostic intake assessment, member of a treatment team
- Individual and group supervision provided
- Approximately 15 hours/week spent in face-to-face contact with clients

Counseling or Social Work: Schools
- Student must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program
- Candidates are accepted based on supervisor availability
- Candidates are selected following an interview process
- Flexible schedule during school hours of 7:15am-3:45pm, August through June
- Individual and group supervision provided
- Supervisor will have regular contact with academic supervisor
- Activities include: individual or group prevention services, consultation, case management services
- Stipends may be provided

Crisis Services
- Students must be enrolled in a Master's Degree Program
- Candidates are accepted based on Supervisor availability and are selected following an interview process
- Activities include: answering the hotline, providing same-day crisis appointments, mobile response to the community, in-home therapy and case management (MRSS), fielding questions from direct service providers, and providing support and crisis intervention for office-based therapists and their clients
- This placement is ideal for first year social work students completing their first required placement (not providing therapy)
- This is not an ideal placement option for clinicians due to the low rate of individual therapy provided

Parenting Enrichment

Psychology: Outpatient
- Student must be actively enrolled in a Doctorate Degree program
- Candidates are accepted based on Supervisor availability
- Candidates are selected following an interview process
- 20 hour/week practicum
- Activities include: individual/family therapy, group therapy, diagnostic intake assessment, psychological evaluation
- Individual and group supervision provided
- Approximately ½ time on site spent in face-to-face contact with clients
