2017 Staff Retreat Celebrate 40 Years
Child Focus, Inc. celebrated its 40th Anniversary at its 300-person staff retreat on May 19 at American Modern Insurance Group. Utilizing a birthday theme with party hats, noisemakers, cupcakes and a sundae bar, staff were welcomed by Rob Meyer, Child Focus Board President and Vice President of Sales at American Modern Insurance Group. Jim Carter, CEO shared a 40 year retrospective on agency history. Over 160 staff received recognition or awards for performance over the last year and 32 staff were honored for their 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service.
Special congratulations to Sandy Lock, Child Focus, Inc. Chief Operating Officer, who just celebrated 30 years at Child Focus, Inc. Sandy's expertise and leadership has been invaluable in helping Child Focus, Inc. grow and diversify in early learning, community mental health and foster care.
In her role as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Sandy has served as a member of the CFI executive leadership team for three decades. She has led Child Focus’ business operations and program oversight, and partnered with the CEO to provide governance, accountability and good stewardship of funds to meet the many legal, regulatory and policy requirements. She describes herself as the “less visionary but much more logical numbers and contract person” behind Child Focus, Sandy has been highly instrumental in the management of our investments, business development, financial reporting and helping put CFI’s strategic vision into our daily operations.
On behalf of Child Focus, we would like to express our sincerest thanks to Sandy for her 30 years of exceptional service to the agency. Her commitment to Child Focus, Inc. staff, children and families is unequaled.
Congratulations to our amazing staff and Happy Birthday to Child Focus, Inc.!
