Crisis Hotline Expands to Brown County
The Clermont County Crisis Hotline, 513-528-SAVE (7283), has expanded to the Brown County community through a collaboration between Clermont County Mental Health & Recovery Board and Brown County Board of Mental Health & Addiction Services. "This Hotline has absolutely saved lives in Clermont County," says Karen Scherra, Director of the Clermont County Mental Health & Recovery Board, "EMT's have literally gone door-to-door in apartment complexes to provide life-saving care for individuals who were on the brink of suicide thanks to our 513-528-SAVE Hotline Responders."
“I want to be sure that Brown County residents of all ages are aware of and have access to 24/7 crisis support, particularly post-pandemic as local use of mental health and addiction resources continues to climb,” says Deanna Vietze, Director of the Brown County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Child Focus is an affiliate center of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, so all calls from 513 and 937 area codes will be answered by local Child Focus hotline responders. “Local responders add significant value to those seeking mental health and addiction resources because we know our community,” adds Pamela Lindeman, CEO of Child Focus. “We are excited to expand these critical crisis services and to be a 24/7 resource to Brown County children and adults. Our Mt. Orab office has been in the Brown County community for two decades now and we continue to provide quality mental health and substance use prevention and treatment services, expanding as community need evolves."
