Play, The Work of Children

Play is the work of children! During play, children engage in problem solving, test out ideas, ask questions, develop large and small motor skills, learn to socialize and develop new understanding. At Child Focus we put children’s learning a top priority. Child Focus Head Start, a federal preschool program, kicked off the new school year with an amazing new outdoor playground. Opening day was celebrated with big smiles and the wonderful sound of children laughing as they explored the new playground complete with climbers, dramatic play areas, sensory items, slides and a mulch pit with cranes. The children loved the new equipment and enjoyed a snow cone from Kona Ice to celebrate! Thanks to the many volunteers who helped make their dreams come true.
